Your Perfect Greenhouse
The Chartwell Apex Greenhouse is an ideal building for your garden if you are looking to keep your plants well-protected from the elements in the colder seasons. Our Greenhouse is of timber construction made from modular panels that will fit through your door. We also provide large windows with a choice of glazing so your greenhouse can be perfectly suited to your requirements.
Pressure Treated as Standard
Your greenhouse is supplied with pressure-treated panels to increase your building’s weather protection and longevity. We pressure treat all of our panels at our facility, where our special treatment penetrates deep into the timber, which helps to protect against fungal and decay. We also offer a 25-year anti-rot guarantee*. Please see our terms and conditions for more details.
Stronger Timber Roof with an Opening Window
The Chartwell Apex Greenhouse comes with a timber roof and 1 opening window as standard. If you choose the 8×8 or the 10×8 it will come with 2 opening windows as standard. This gives your building the ventilation required in the summer months for maintaining optimum growing conditions in your greenhouse.
A casement stay is included as standard, where you can upgrade to an Autovent if you select one of our bundle options. We also recommend using silicon sealant to fully seal your roof, which we have included in our bundle upgrade options as standard.
Choose from Styrene or 4mm Toughened Glass Glazing
We offer a choice of 2 glazing types on the windows and door of your greenhouse. You can choose from our 3mm shatter-resistant styrene glazing or our 4mm toughened glass.
Our shatter-resistant styrene is our more cost-effective option for a greenhouse to keep your plants protected from the elements.
However, If you are an avid gardener, we recommend choosing our 4mm toughened glass option. This creates much better growing conditions for your flowers, herbs and vegetables, which will ripen fully when behind glass compared to a greenhouse with styrene or polycarb glazing.
Bundle Upgrade Option – Standard 1 Side
We provide a standard upgrade bundle to outfit one side of your greenhouse with all the extra workspace and accessories you require. This package contains an Autovent for any opening windows as well as shelving for one side, staging for one side and guttering for one side. We also include silicone sealant and a sealant gun in the bundle.
Bundle Upgrade Option – Premium Both Sides
If you need even more for your greenhouse, we offer an upgrade bundle to kit out both sides of your greenhouse. This bundle includes shelves for both sides, staging for both sides, guttering for both sides, and an Autovent for 2 opening windows with the extra opening window also included in the bundle. Silicone sealant and a sealant gun is also included in the bundle.
Extra Tall Building
Your greenhouse has been designed with easy access in mind, with a tall external ridge height of 2.26m and a door opening height of 1.69m, you can stand in the centre of your building with headroom above. This is ideal if you are spending time inside your greenhouse for potting and watering your plants.
Back Shelf Stack Option
For additional storage space we offer the option of having a stack of 4 shelves along the back wall of your greenhouse. We also supply London Brackets as standard to ensure your shelves are strong enough to support the weight of your items.
Base included as standard
For extra headspace in your building and a solid foundation, we supply timber base surround as standard. This gives the inside of your building extra drainage whilst keeping your building off the ground which will help to increase its lifespan.
Modular panels that fit through your door
The Chartwell Apex Greenhouse is constructed from modular panels that require assembling. The panels and roof sections are designed to fit through a standard UK door so that you can transport your building from the kerbside to your garden without having to lift large heavy panels. You can even transport your building through your house if you don’t have any side access to your garden.
Stronger and more durable
For a stronger and more rigid building, we double up the framing where the panels join, which gives your building increased vertical strength. We also have added extra framing to the roof, which helps make your building even stronger and resistant to weather conditions.
Multiple Sizes Available
For a building that is suitable for all of your needs, we offer multiple sizes. Whether you need a smaller building for potting in the spring, or a larger building to store lots of plants throughout the year, we have the sizes for you.
Guttering Included in Bundle Options
For collecting extra rainwater for your plants, we have included guttering on one side of your building in the standard upgrade bundle. The guttering will also help keep your building panels free from water run-off from the roof. This means it will also help protect your building from the elements. Our premium upgrade bundle includes guttering for both sides.
Simple Assembly
Your building is supplied flat-packed for a kerbside delivery. To make assembly easy, we provide easy-to-follow stage-by-stage instructions and all of the fixtures and fittings included. We recommend that 2 people with basic tools and DIY knowledge are required to assemble your building. If you would like your building to be built for you, we also offer our building assembly service for an additional cost.
